2005 marked the 60th anniversary of the Sinclair-Ramsey Insurance Agency, Inc. This Independent Insurance Agency was started by Shelby Sinclair, Jr. in 1945, and has continuously provided Property and Casualty coverages to Greenville and Hunt County.

Steve Ramsey, CIC, joined the Agency in 1975 after working eight years for the Chubb Group of insurance companies in Dallas and at the home office in Short Hills, NJ. He took control of the agency in 1978 on Mr. Sinclair’s retirement.

Sinclair-Ramsey offers a complete line of Personal and Commercial Insurance using both “admitted” companies (Hartford, Trinity Universal, Safeco, Encompass, Beacon, Zurich, & Mercury) and “non-admitted” companies (Scottsdale, Burlington, Lloyds of London, to name a few) in order to provide the best coverages at the best price for its clients.

It is with the full use of its markets that the staff of Sinclair-Ramsey can solve the more complex Personal and Commercial risk problems. And the staff includes our producers, Nancy Woodall and Erik Emmerson, with Personal Lines support from Barbara Fannin and Commercial Lines by Loretta Akers. All the folks mentioned have over 100 years insurance experience.

Of primary importance to the public, is the fact that as an Independent Agent, the firm of Sinclair-Ramsey works for no one but its clients. Sinclair-Ramsey clients know that their insurance agent works for their benefit, and not the interest of any one insurance company.
